Horizon View 7.0 – Part 2 – Pre-requisites for Horizon View 7

This post covers the necessary pre-requisites required for the Horizon Environment. Before starting the deployment process just make sure all these pre-requisites are being met.

Connection Server

Source: VMware

It is almost supported in all editions of vCenter

Horizon View License

Either you must have an valid license or an evaluation license to make the environment working.

Events Database

An database is required for storing logging information such as user connections.

It can be either Oracle SQL or MS SQL. In case of MS SQL, only SQL Authentication is supported and not the Windows Authentication.

View Composer

Desktop Template

Do refer VMware Horizon View Documentation for the detailed explanation of the supported Operating Systems.
