Horizon View 7.0 – Part 9 – Horizon View Client

Now that we have published some applications its time to access them and test it. To access the VDI we need an client-side application called as Horizon Client.

VMware Horizon Client is available for Windows/Linux/Mac/Android/iOS.

Horizon HTML Access

Open your favorite browser and enter the URL as https://FQDN or Connection Server or https://FQDN of Security Server if you are using any security Server.

Enter the credentials of the entitled user.

Published applications will pop-up.

Just Double-click the application to launch it.

Horizon Client for Windows

Download the Horizon Client from VMware.

Launch the application and click Add Server.

Enter the FQDN/IP of Connection Server or Security Server if you are using any security Server.

Click Continue if it prompts for Certificate Error.

Enter the credentials of the entitled user.

Applications will get populated.

Double-click the application to launch them.

 

Mobile Application

You can download VMware Horizon Client form Play Store or from itunes.

Enter the connection server details.

Login details of the entitled user.

Tap on the application to launch them.

Repeat the steps to publish the desktops and applications and access them with VMware Horizon Client.
