VMware NSX 6.x – Part 10 – Backup & Restore NSX Configuration

“What is the recovery plan, if it fails ?” – This is an usual and important question that needs to be answered. We can always backup and restore the configuration data of the NSX Manager. NSX Manager can backup all its configuration to an FTP Portal.

Backup NSX Manager Data

To backup, Login to the NSX Manager -> Backup and Restore.

Click Change under FTP Server Settings.

Enter the FTP Details.

Click Change under Scheduling.

Click Start to start the backup process.

You can see the Backup under the Backup History.

Restore NSX Manager Data

To restore from the backup data, select the Backup and click Restore.

Click Yes to initiate the restore process.
