VMware VDP 6.x – Part 3 – Unregister VDP using MOB

As I mentioned in the earliest post, VMware VDP has come to an End of Availability and hence you wish to completely uninstall VMware VDP then this post would be very helpful. In this post, I would discuss about uninstalling the VDP from the vCenter Server using the Managed Object Browser (MOB) page.

First, Shut Down the VMware VDP Appliance.

Login to the MOB Page by the URL, https://<IP or FQDN of vCenter>/mob.

Type in your SSO credentials,

In the MOB page, click Content.

Click Extension Manager.

Expand the list of extensions by clicking the more button. It would display the VDP Extensions.

Select UnregisterExtension to remove those extensions.

Enter the value as com.vmware.vdp2 and click Invoke Method.

You can see the VDP Extension removed.

Login back to the Web Client.

VMware VDP would be gone.
